places to go and things to see in Kentucky
Kentucky Derby
The Kentucky Derby is one of Kentucky's most famous events. The Derby is a horse race that falls on the first Sunday in May. Over 150,00 people come, and the tickets always sell out. It's an amazing thing to go to, but you must know that there is a dress code. You must wear jackets, vest, sweaters, dresses, shirts with collars, and pantsuits. Now that you know what you can wear this is what you shouldn't wear- jeans/denim, shorts, swim gear, t-shirts, athletic wear, and flip flops are not considered appropriate attire for this event. The "crown," a single rose pointed upward in the center of the garland, symbolizes the struggle and journey to reach the winners circle of this race.

Slugger Baseball Museum and Factory
If you go to Kentucky you'll see some cool stuff. The Slugger Baseball Museum is one example. You can notice it by its 120ft tall replica of Babe Ruth's baseball bat. Some things to do there are watch baseball bats being made and you can also use the pitching simulator. Children can enjoy climbing a giant limestone baseball glove. If you've come to see a prized item you are in luck because the museum's most prized item is the bat used for Hank Aaron's 700th homerun. Right before you leave be sure to get a mini baseball bat souvenir.

One of these sights are the natural land bridges. Land bridges can get large, like 65ft high and 75ft wide. They can be created by earth's materials like wind and water.
In the National Forest there are many land forms, including:
-
lots and lots of sandstone
-

-
and ravines cut by rivers/streams
